The environmental impact generated in filming could be significantly reduced by establishing greener and more environmentally friendly standards and policies. Vigo Film Office is committed to the environment and therefore we encourage you to take into account a series of sustainable development practices that minimize the environmental impact derived from audiovisual activities in the city.
RESPECT THE LOCATIONS
Be carefull about the environmental legislation of the shooting locations, especially if they are protected, and consider factors such as proximity.
SUSTAINABLE SUPPLIERS
Choose suppliers that are local and have a minimal impact on the environment.
NEARBY ACCOMMODATION
Choose accommodation close to the main shooting location. Give preference to sustainable hotels.
OPTIMISES CONSUMPTION
Optimise energy consumption by opting for LED bulbs, solar energy, rechargeable batteries, paper reduction … And make sustainable use of water.
LEGACY
Once the filming is over, think of a way to offset the carbon footprint by participating in an environmental project at the main filming location.
EFFICIENT TRANSPORT
Choose electric or hybrid transport. Organise the team to share transport and organise all your journeys efficiently.
RECYCLING ALWAYS
Organise waste separation and set up recycling points with differentiated and accessible containers. Avoid buying disposable products.
